About this role
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive SDET to join our quality engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in performance tuning, test automation framework architecture, and CI / CD pipeline integration. You will work on enhancing and maintaining legacy automation frameworks written in TypeScript and Flutter and also build innovative tools that support our cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS and Jenkins.
What you will do
Maintain, refactor, and improve existing legacy automation frameworks WDIO written in TypeScript and Flutter for mobile and web applications.
Architect and develop scalable, modular, and reusable automation test frameworks and tools.
Drive performance tuning and optimization of automation test suites and system performance metrics.
Design and implement CI / CD pipeline integrations using GitHub Actions, AWS, Docker, Jenkins and related DevOps tools and run them on cloud farms such as Sauce Labs, BrowserStack, and LambdaTest.
Develop custom testing utilities and scripts to support continuous testing in the development pipeline.
Collaborate with DevOps, Product, and Development teams to ensure high-quality delivery of features and releases.
Lead and participate in code reviews, testing strategies, and quality assessments.
Monitor and analyze test results to identify trends, root causes, and potential areas for improvement.
Provide mentorship and technical leadership in test automation best practices.
What we are looking for
Technical Skills
Strong advanced programming skills in TypeScript, Flutter / Dart, and scripting languages like Python or Bash.
Proven experience with performance tuning, test optimization, and profiling tools.
Solid understanding of CI / CD pipelines, especially using GitHub Actions and AWS (e.g., Lambda, CodePipeline, S3, CloudWatch).
Experience creating or enhancing automation frameworks from scratch (UI / API / Mobile).
Familiarity with cloud-native applications and Golang, GraphQL and microservices testing.
Hands-on experience with tools such as Selenium, Appium, Playwright, or Cypress is a plus.

Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Location : Hybrid role, 2-3 days per week from our Vancouver, BC office.
Base Salary range is $95,000-$105,000 CAD.
