Overview :

The Senior Business Development Manager will spearhead our efforts in developing strategic partnerships. In this role, you'll report directly to the CEO and work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, engage, and establish relationships with partners whose products can benefit from Spring Financial's financing solutions.

Your ability to drive business growth, negotiate favorable terms, and build long-lasting relationships will be essential to our success.

With a proven understanding of the business, you will be at the forefront of aligning our partner needs with our innovative technology, product, and service offerings.

This role is results-driven, competitive, and exemplifies the spirit of a team player. You will be regularly reporting results to key executives and held responsible for hitting department goals.

You will align with the executive vision for the department and refine strategies to execute that vision. Additionally, you will generate ideas and make suggestions for technology improvements that will help drive business results.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Partnership Development : Identify and evaluate potential partners whose products align with our financing capabilities.

Develop and implement strategies to initiate and cultivate these partnerships.

  • Operational Ownership : Take full ownership of communication and relationships with new partners.
  • Market Analysis : Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities for expansion.
  • Performance Management : Set and manage KPIs for the business development team and ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Collaboration : Act as a key point of contact and collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams (technology, marketing, design, sales, etc.

  • Team Leadership : Train and manage business development associates to achieve extremely high-performance levels, providing continuous coaching and development opportunities.
  • Negotiation and Deal Structuring : Lead negotiations with partners in conjunction with key executives to secure favourable terms and agreements.

Structure deals that maximize value for both parties.

  • Autonomous Leadership : Operate autonomously to effectively manage priorities such as acquiring new partners, nurturing existing relationships, closing deals, and exploring upsell opportunities.
  • Compliance : Maintain zero tolerance for compliance issues or regulatory breaches, ensuring all operations adhere to regulatory requirements.
