Organizational Profile
REACH Community Health Centre (REACH) has been providing community-based health care for fifty years and strives to be more than just a doctor or dentist’s office. REACH is a community-governed organization that believes that good health is a state of physical, mental, and social well-being. REACH uses a team-based approach to innovative, high-quality integrated primary health and dental care and social and educational services to support the physical and mental health and well-being of the community and the individuals within it. Recognizing the harms of colonialism within the health care system, REACH has made an intentional commitment to indigenous health and well-being and strives to provide a safe and welcoming space for everyone who enter.
REACH’s interdisciplinary team provides care and services across five departments : the REACH Urgent and Primary Care Centre, the REACH Medical Centre, the REACH Dental Centre, the REACH Pharmacy and the REACH Health Equity and Community Engagement Department (HEED).
About the Role
Reporting to the Board of Directors (the Board) through the President, the Executive Director is responsible for the leadership and management of REACH in accordance with the strategic direction and vision of the Board. The Executive Director ensures and establishes appropriate budgeting, financial and administrative controls; effective, inclusive, and safe patient and client care; and respectful hiring and staff mentoring and management processes. The Executive Director implements and oversees operational policies, practices, and programing which align with and reflect the Board’s values and vision, alerting to any potential risks and / or opportunities. This position promotes and advances strategic objectives through the development and maintenance of community and government partnerships.
This is an incredible opportunity for a non-profit leader who brings a demonstrated commitment to and passion for community-based urgent and primary care, community engagement and supporting effective partnerships. The ideal candidate will have strong strategic and organizational abilities with excellent interpersonal, communications, financial, and member-service skills. The preferred candidate will have post-secondary graduate business degree, public health administration or human services or a combination of an undergraduate degree with at least 10 years senior management experience and over seven years successful experience in management in a community health or social service setting.
The salary for this position is $150,000 to $180,000, supplemented by a competitive total compensation package.
