Payroll Specialist

An organization within a regulated, asset-intensive industry is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join its growing finance team. This role offers strong exposure to senior leadership, opportunities to influence process improvements, and the chance to support strategic decision-making across the business.

Reporting into a senior finance leader, this position focuses on financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls while partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee the preparation and review of periodic financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
• Coordinate external reporting requirements and support audits and regulatory filings
• Review complex accounting matters and provide technical guidance to internal teams
• Partner with operational and finance stakeholders to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency
• Support the development and enhancement of internal controls and financial processes
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and communicate insights to leadership
• Contribute to special projects, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives as needed
