Smalltalk Developer - Toronto (hybrid)

Role: Smalltalk Developer

Location: Toronto, ON (hybrid)

Job Type: Contract

Responsibilities:

• Be a part of our Wealth Management Canada IT Business Application team in Toronto
• Design and develop large-scale applications
• Interact very closely with all stakeholders and other team members to refine user requirements through test-driven development (TDD)
• Analyze root causes of incidents and provide the solution
• Perform code reviews and share your experience with colleagues
• Promote the overall stability of the systems through the implementation of best practices to maintain the dev environment

Mandatory Skills:

• Smalltalk

Mandatory Skills Description:

• 5+ years of experience in working on SMALLTALK as primary skills
• Hands-on experience with Object Studio
• Experience in programming in C/C++/Python.
• Hands-on experience in software source control and bug-tracking tools.
• Understanding of distributed systems.
• Strong programming Object-Oriented experience and SQL Database Management

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Cloud experience (MS Azure)
• Agile \ Scrum

Languages:

• English: C1 Advanced
