Overview
This position is responsible for the provision of clinical social work services to hospital patients, families and providing excellent patient care within an interdisciplinary team setting. Responsibilities include : providing comprehensive assessment and treatment planning, educational and supportive counseling, resource identification, referral and linking, and collaborating and consulting with inter-professional team and community-based service providers. Key days of the week required for work are Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Key areas of coverage for this permanent part time role are : Emergency Department, Labour and Delivery, NICU.
Education
- Member of the Ontario College of Social Workers & Social Service Workers or a candidate for certification required.
- Master of Social Work from an accredited School of Social Work, or equivalent degree as recognized by the Ontario College of Social Workers & Social Service Workers required.
Qualifications
Recent related experience in Maternal Newborn and Pediatric environments an asset
