The Lab Patient Technician role is an essential part of our team, ensuring that patients receive accurate, timely, and compassionate care through specimen collection and processing.

About the Role

As a Lab Patient Technician you will be responsible for the specimen collection process, from greeting patients through to preparation of specimens for transportation. This role involves direct patient interaction, specimen handling, and data entry to support high‑quality test results.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, request required information, and explain the specimen collection process.
• Perform phlebotomies, connect / disconnect Holter monitors, and perform ECG tracings.
• Collect special tests (e.g., medical / legal drug screens, paternity tests, clinical trials) and complete the related documentation.
• Maintain client relationships, including responding to inquiries and following up on requests.
• Enter patient demographics, requisition information, and other data into the system with accuracy.
• Prepare specimens for transportation and testing.

Qualifications

Schedule & Location

Status : Part Time (0‑20 hours per week).

Must work every Saturday and Sunday at 270 Purple Creek Road or another scheduled location. Preference for candidates living near the location. Candidates must have their own transportation.
