Job description

ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES FIELD SUPERVISOR - SOLID WASTE (Permanent, Full-time)

NATURE OF POSITION: Hiring one (1) Environmental Services Field Supervisor (Solid Waste) position. The Environmental Services Field Supervisor (Solid Waste) is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of Regional District solid waste operations, including landfills, transfer stations, and recycling depots.

The role requires regular travel between facilities using a corporate fleet vehicle and involves ongoing interaction with staff, contractors, regulators, and the public.

The Field Supervisor is expected to hold the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) Manager of Landfill Operations (MOLO) certification, reflecting the technical and regulatory responsibilities associated with landfill operations.

The Field Supervisor supports operational planning, staff supervision, contractor coordination, and continuous improvement of services, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and service delivery standards.
