We are searching for a Pastry Chef to join our Parkland Ancaster team based in Ancaster, Ontario.

About the Opportunity

• Preparing baked goods and desserts according to established standards, procedure, recipes, and menus
• Receiving, storing, and rotating inventory of all required foods and supplies
• Maintaining safety and sanitation in the kitchen to meet legislative and organizational standards
• All other duties as assigned/required

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:

• A high-school diploma or GED completion
• Red Seal Baker’s papers from a certified institution considered an asset
• Minimum three years experience in a high-volume bakery or kitchen
• Ability to work a schedule which includes nights and holidays
• Successful candidates will be required to obtain a clear Criminal Record Check, and where applicable, a Vulnerable Sector Check, prior to appointment.
• Current First Aid & CPR is an asset
• Previous experience working with seniors in a retirement living or long-term care environment is considered an asset
