Job Title : Night Warehouse Supervisor

Job Description

As a Night Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee a team of 20-25 warehouse associates for an aftermarket automotive parts distributor. Your role will involve delegating tasks, training, coaching, and directing corrective action to resolve day-to-day operational issues. You will work directly with the warehouse manager to plan and execute the daily operations of the warehouse, including scheduling shifts and departments, setting team goals, and addressing any internal issues that arise. Health and safety concerns are also a priority, and you will ensure these are handled appropriately. We seek a candidate who is a free thinker and can provide innovative ideas to improve warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of unionized warehouse employees, including task delegation, training, and coaching.
• Plan and communicate daily shift work plans based on priorities, equipment availability, and space utilization.
• Monitor warehouse performance and activities using KPIs, focusing on cost controls.
• Communicate daily with Distribution and Warehouse Managers regarding shift targets and issues, and provide production reports.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and conduct periodic spot-checks.
• Ensure timely shipment of orders, investigating any lost or damaged shipments.
• Recommend procedural improvements to enhance productivity, safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Plan warehouse layout and space requirements to prevent loss or damage and optimize space.
• Enforce security and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Apply, record, and document discipline consistently as per the CBA.
• Collaborate with Human Resources on labor relations issues.

Work Environment

The role is based in a 150,000 square foot outbound warehouse with 80 employees per shift. The facility includes 20-foot racks with Raymond reach equipment, and operates from 11pm-7am, Sunday through Thursday.

This is a Permanent position based out of Mississauga, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $85000.00 / yr.
