Due to the ongoing growth of our business, we have an opening for an HR Director / HR Manager (depending on level of experience), reporting to the CEO, to join our team.

Major Areas of Responsibilities

Overall responsibility for human resources strategy aligned with the company’s mission

Focus on strengthening the culture, morale, learning and skills development of the organization

Managing HR Specialist, HR processes and policies including compliance with laws and union contracts, informing payroll of HR changes

Supporting managers and supervisors

Managing compensation, benefits and recruiting strategy to support company growth

Streamlining the hiring, onboarding and training process

Represent the company to external stakeholders with respect to HR subject matter

Requirements

At least 15 years of human resources experience and at least 10 years at a management level

Experience with Canadian and Ontario HR laws and regulations

CHRL or CHRP preferred

• Demonstrated abilities with respect to :

negotiation and conflict resolution

resilience and stress management

Preferred experience with :

an engineering and manufacturing setting and a unionized production workforce

administrator level experience with Dayforce HR system including queries, data analysis and metrics

diversity and inclusion initiatives

immigration pathways

performance management

learning management and e-learning systems

change management and organizational development

working with colleges and universities to support recruitment and skills training

ISO45001 / COR2020 certification in a manufacturing and field setting

Strong ability to communicate in English (spoken, written)

This is an on-site position (Maple Ontario)

This position requires the ability to independently travel between locations in the Greater Toronto Area
