The Role

We’re looking for a hands‑on Underwriter. You’ll be responsible for underwriting deals, assessing risk, structuring offers, and making credit decisions that directly impact our growth and the success of our clients. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment and enjoy working closely with small businesses, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

Underwriting : Review applications, financials, bank statements, and cash flow to assess merchant risk.
Deal Structuring : Build loan offers that balance risk and opportunity, including term, pricing, and repayment structures.
Merchant Engagement : Act as the primary point of contact for merchants throughout the underwriting process, ensuring a smooth and transparent experience.
Risk & Compliance : Ensure all deals comply with company policies and requirements while maintaining speed and efficiency.
Industry Insight : Stay up‑to‑date on trends in industry best practices to inform underwriting strategies.

Qualifications

3+ years underwriting experience in our industry or a similar fast‑paced financial services environment

Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial statements, cash flow, and credit reports

Excellent communication skills for interacting with merchants and internal teams

Detail‑oriented, decisive, and capable of managing high‑volume deal flow independently

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field

Interview Process

Virtual Phone Screening : A brief 15‑minute introduction with a member of our HR team via Google Meet. We’ll share more about the role, team, culture, and mission while learning about your background.

Phone Interview with Our CEO : A 20–30 minute, in‑depth conversation focused on your experience and fit for the role. This is also an opportunity for our CEO to walk you through the vision, expectations, and day‑to‑day responsibilities.

On‑Site Interview : An in‑person meeting with our CEO and HR Director to discuss any remaining questions and ensure alignment on the role and team.

Decision : You will receive either an offer or feedback following the final stage.
