Post-secondary education in engineering, facility management, or a related discipline (BES I & II, SMT, SMA preferred). P.Eng designation is an asset but not required. Demonstrated success managing capital projects and operational budgets. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Yardi, and building automation systems.

Our real estate client is seeking a Technical Services Manager to oversee operations across a prestigious one-million-square-foot portfolio in downtown Toronto.
This pivotal role combines team leadership, capital project execution, and sustainable operations management. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, hands-on professional with a proven ability to drive operational excellence while delivering long-term value and performance across assets.
This is an on-site position in Downtown Toronto.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee all technical systems including mechanical, electrical, and life safety components.
- Drive preventive maintenance programs and sustainability initiatives to reduce energy consumption and improve building performance.
- Manage utility tracking and implement energy conservation measures.
- Lead planning and execution of capital projects, ensuring timeliness, quality, and budget adherence.
- Collaborate with the Property Manager to develop and manage capital plans and budgets.
- Administer tenders, contracts, and service agreements to optimize service delivery.
- Ensure all life safety systems and compliance documentation are current and effectively implemented.
- Work with security and safety teams to maintain emergency and risk management protocols.
- Build strong relationships with tenants, addressing concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
- Collaborate with service providers and consultants to align with sustainability and operational goals.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary operations team to ensure high performance and collaboration.
