The successful incumbent will provide patient / family-centered care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. You will be responsible for collaborating and assisting the emergency team with length of stay goals for the department; assisting in all duties related to the collection of blood specimens and ECG's in the ED; all duties associated with specimen collection including clerical, packaging and transportation arrangements; monitoring inventory and ensuring adequate stock for day to day operation; maintaining the PPID equipment.

- Minimum of one year relevant experience as a healthcare provider in an Emergency department.
- Knowledge of laboratory computer systems.
- Medical Terminology required
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families and the healthcare team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Must be physically able to do the job.
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record.
Additional Information
Status : Temporary Part-time (approx. 1 year)
Hours : Monday - Sunday, various rotating 10-12 hour shifts (Hours subject to change based on operational requirements)
