This is a safety-sensitive position, the successful candidate(s) will be required to successfully complete mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol testing to comply with SaskPower’s Fit for Duty Policy.
JOB SUMMARY :
The employee in this classification is responsible to perform storekeeping and material handling activities including, documenting, accounting, and inventory control and the receipt, storage and dispensing of corporate assets. This position is also responsible to handle, move, load and unload materials by hand or using a variety of material handling equipment.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- Handle, process, store and transport SaskPower materials, tools, equipment, inventory and assets
- Receive, identify, record, store, dispense, ship, load, unload and inspect parts, equipment and tools
- Supply and / or obtain price quotations, as needed, for supplies and services
- Purchase, pick up and deliver material and equipment
- Expedite the supply and shipment of outstanding orders
- Assess required stock levels and conduct periodic inventories
- Utilize software systems for management of inventory
- Verify invoices for payment
- Inspect, service and operate material handling equipment
- Maintain clean and orderly storage areas and provide safe custody of stock, tools and equipment
- Establish effective working relationships with suppliers
- Adhere to corporate purchasing and quality control policies and procedures
- Direct, coach, train, orient and monitor performance of assigned staff
- Adhere to applicable safety practices
- Adhere to applicable environmental standards, regulations and corporate commitments
- Participate in continuous educational and professional development, both internal and external and driver’s licencing upgrades, as required by the position (e.g. 1A driver’s licence)
- Other related duties, as assigned

This position falls within the scope of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 2067.
