As the company continues to grow and evolve, Maple Leaf Homes is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Procurement to join its senior leadership team. This critical role will oversee procurement operations, build long-term sourcing strategies, and manage supplier relationships, while ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition of goods and services. What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies that support operational efficiency and long-term business growth.
- Oversee all aspects of purchasing operations, including inventory control, vendor negotiations, contract management, and cost analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including production, engineering, finance, and executive leadership—to forecast material requirements and align procurement planning with organizational objectives.
- Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings, supply chain risk mitigation, and operational improvements.
- Manage procurement budgets, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular reporting to the executive leadership team.
- Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships to ensure quality, reliability, and long-term value.
- Ensure adherence to internal systems (Syspro ERP), procurement policies, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and lead a procurement team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Drive digital transformation and process optimization within the procurement function to enhance efficiency and reporting capabilities.
