THE ROLE

As Training Design Specialist, Client Services, you'll be responsible for developing and designing new courses and curriculum based on identified needs, editing and developing existing material and creating learning experiences and environments for the GroupHEALTH client services team. This is a hybrid opportunity based in either our Surrey, BC or Barrie, ON offices.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Within 30 days

Gain a solid understanding of the organization's learning and development (L&D) processes.
Become familiar with the tools and technologies used for instructional design (, authoring tools, LMS).
Start building relationships with the training team, subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders.
Begin to understand GroupHEALTH and the function of the Client Services department.

Within 60 days

Independently completes assigned tasks within the ID process (, needs analysis, content creation, development).

Applies existing training design expertise to company projects.

Demonstrates strong collaboration skills by working effectively with subject matter experts (SMEs) and other team members.

Within 6 Months

Manages assigned projects independently, meeting deadlines and quality standards.

Identifies opportunities for improvement in training materials or processes.

Shares knowledge and expertise with colleagues through mentoring or training

YOUR IMPACT

You collaborate with Director, Learning and Change and other Training Specialists on training initiatives for the Client Services department

You design Soft Skill Workshops and job specific training for both virtual and in person facilitation

You support Client Services Training team by acting as a subject matter expert on adult learning principles and instructional design practices

You support Client Services Trainers with training on how to use learning technologies

You update training material in collaboration with Director, Change and Learning, and other team trainers as processes change and develop.

You keep current on best practices in instructional design

You write Scripts for video and audio Content

You collaborate with Subject Matter experts to develop course content

You handle project work as assigned

You perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Learning and Change Management

YOUR COMPENSATION

At the time of this posting, the estimated pay range for this position is $70,000-$80,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and education / training. This range reflects the base pay and does not encompass our comprehensive total rewards, benefits, and potential bonuses that we proudly offer.
