Seasonal Job - Start early-April, 2025 to mid-October 2025.

Responsibilities:

Reporting and Communication:

  • Report to the Lodging Manager
  • Provide regular updates to the Lodging Manager on lodging operations, including occupancy rates, guest satisfaction and staffing.
  • Communicate any issues or challenges related to guest accommodations, maintenance, or employee performance to the Lodging Manager and recommend solutions.

Guest Experience:

  • Providing lodging experience to our guests in line with our service commitment; Service Beyond.
  • Ensure that all guest rooms, common areas, and facilities are well-maintained, clean, and ready for occupancy.
  • Handle guest concerns and react quickly, logging and notifying proper areas.

Staff Management and Training:

  • Train all seasonal Guest Service Agents (Front Desk/Golf Retail Shop), and housekeeping staff.
  • Ensure ongoing training on customer service, safety procedures, and the operation of systems like the property management software.
  • Work with Lodging Manager on schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak periods while managing labor costs efficiently.
  • Foster a positive and motivating work environment, recognizing staff achievements and addressing concerns promptly.

Lodging Operations:

  • Oversee the room reservation system to ensure accuracy and efficiency in booking rooms.
  • Perform opening and closing duties for housekeeping storage area.
  • Hands on position in assisting housekeeping staff cleaning, guest rooms and public areas.
  • Oversee the cleanliness of all guest rooms and public spaces, ensuring that the property meets the highest standards of hygiene and comfort.
  • Ensure regular maintenance and repair of rooms, amenities, and common areas, collaborating with the maintenance team for any required work.
  • Spend time in the field checking to ensure rooms and public areas are keep current with operational practices.
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms and facilities to ensure everything is in proper working order.
  • Ensure the lodging facility complies with all relevant health and safety regulations, including fire codes, sanitation standards, and emergency protocols.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Financial Management and Budgeting:

  • Support the annual Lodging budget, including labor costs, supplies, room amenities, and guest services in collaboration with the Lodging Manager.
  • Oversee inventory levels for guest room supplies (e.g., linens, toiletries, towels) and ensure regular restocking.
  • Implement a system to track and replace worn-out or damaged items to maintain the quality of the guest experience.
  • Coordinate and assign daily housekeeping requirements. This includes assignments of rooms and common areas to be cleaned on a daily basis.

Requirements:

  • Previous Front Office, Reservation's experience is an asset.
  • Previous Housekeeping experience is an asset.
  • Previous leadership experience is an asset.
  • Proficient in WebRez (PMS) and Club Prophet (POS) is an asset.
  • University/College degree in a related discipline preferred.
  • Must possess a professional presentation.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible & reliable.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team and ability to perform with minimal supervision.
  • A valid drivers license is required.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous.
