Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our construction team. The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing project plans, and ensuring that bids are competitive and comprehensive. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, quality standards, and project management to support successful project execution from inception to completion.

Duties

  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop precise estimates.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and analyze material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Prepare detailed bid proposals in accordance with client requirements and company standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to refine estimates and clarify project scope.
  • Perform quality inspections and construction inspections to ensure estimates align with actual project conditions.
  • Assist in project planning by providing cost analysis and risk assessments.
  • Monitor industry trends, pricing, and supplier quotes to maintain competitive bid submissions.
  • Support quality control initiatives by ensuring all estimates meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Skills

  • Experience in construction estimating with a solid understanding of construction processes.
  • Strong knowledge of quality inspection and construction inspection procedures.
  • Electrical experience is a plus, especially for projects involving electrical components.
  • Project management skills to coordinate multiple aspects of estimating and bidding processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate cost analysis.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and clients.
  • Familiarity with estimating software tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards within the construction industry.
