We are offering a contract to permanent opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Manager in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This role plays a pivotal part in overseeing all facets of human resources practices and processes in our organization. As a Human Resources Manager, you'll be involved in managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and cultivating a positive work environment that aligns with our organization's values and goals.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract the best talent
• Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition
• Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and issues, promoting a positive work environment and resolving conflicts or grievances
• Implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture
• Develop and oversee performance appraisal systems, providing guidance and support to managers and employees on performance improvement plans
• Conduct training sessions to enhance employee skills and development
• Ensure compliance with local and federal labor laws and regulations, updating and maintaining HR policies and procedures
• Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies
• Conduct salary benchmarking and manage compensation plans
• Assist employees with benefits inquiries and enrollment
• Identify training needs and coordinate development programs, organizing workshops, seminars, and training sessions for staff
• Maintain HR records and databases, preparing reports on HR metrics such as turnover rates, recruitment statistics, and employee satisfaction
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Human Resources role
• Proficiency in managing Benefit Functions
• Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong knowledge of Compliance regulations and standards within the HR field
• Proven experience in Employee Relations
• Familiarity with Hiring Processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and negotiating
• Experience in Corporate Recruiting, including headhunting and talent acquisition
• Proficiency in managing Onboarding processes for new employees
• Knowledge and experience in Canadian Payroll systems and regulations
