We are offering a contract to permanent opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Manager in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This role plays a pivotal part in overseeing all facets of human resources practices and processes in our organization. As a Human Resources Manager, you'll be involved in managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and cultivating a positive work environment that aligns with our organization's values and goals.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract the best talent
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition
- Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and issues, promoting a positive work environment and resolving conflicts or grievances
- Implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture
- Develop and oversee performance appraisal systems, providing guidance and support to managers and employees on performance improvement plans
- Conduct training sessions to enhance employee skills and development
- Ensure compliance with local and federal labor laws and regulations, updating and maintaining HR policies and procedures
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies
- Conduct salary benchmarking and manage compensation plans
- Assist employees with benefits inquiries and enrollment
- Identify training needs and coordinate development programs, organizing workshops, seminars, and training sessions for staff
- Maintain HR records and databases, preparing reports on HR metrics such as turnover rates, recruitment statistics, and employee satisfaction
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Human Resources role
- Proficiency in managing Benefit Functions
- Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong knowledge of Compliance regulations and standards within the HR field
- Proven experience in Employee Relations
- Familiarity with Hiring Processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and negotiating
- Experience in Corporate Recruiting, including headhunting and talent acquisition
- Proficiency in managing Onboarding processes for new employees
- Knowledge and experience in Canadian Payroll systems and regulations
