Role: React Native Developer
Location: Toronto, ON

Duration 06-12 Months

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced developer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android. The candidate will work closely with product owners, UX designers, backend teams, and QA to deliver performant, secure, and accessible mobile solutions in an Agile environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered)

  • 8 years of experience in mobile development
  • Proficient in React Native (latest versions)
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6) and TypeScript
  • Experience with Redux / Context API / Zustand for state management
  • Familiarity with iOS and Android build processes
  • Experience with REST APIs and JSON integration
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and vulnerability remediation
  • Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-have skills but are not required)

  • Experience with Native iOS (Swift/Objective C) or Android (Kotlin/Java)
  • Exposure to banking or financial services applications
  • Knowledge of mobile performance profiling and telemetry

Day-to-Day Responsibilities (key tasks and expectations for the role)

  • Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native
  • Build reusable, scalable, and high-performance components with clean architecture
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement pixel-perfect designs
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, version control, and mobile release processes
  • Work closely with QA teams to support unit, integration, regression, and UAT testing
  • Assist with SDK upgrades, OS updates, and vulnerability remediation
