Job Title : Public Relations Specialist Location : In-office, MontrealJob Overview : As a PR Specialist, you will report directly to the General Manager, supporting corporate communications and ensuring Valnet and its diverse portfolio of brands maintain a strong, consistent presence across media channels. Based in our dynamic New York City office, this role demands a strategic mindset, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to cultivate and leverage relationships in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Your primary objective is to spearhead PR initiatives that elevate Valnet's reputation, foster media engagement, and maximize exposure for our 25+ industry-leading brands.Responsibilities : Partner with the General Manager to design and implement PR strategies that align with corporate goals and business objectives.Serve as a liaison between Valnet and its brands, ensuring consistent messaging and effective communication across all verticals.Write and distribute press materials, including press releases, executive quotes, and media kits, tailored to various audiences.Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers across industries to secure impactful media placements.Identify opportunities to position Valnet as a thought leader in digital publishing and media investment, both regionally and globally.Manage media inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses that uphold Valnet’s brand integrity.Track and analyze PR campaign performance, sharing actionable insights and recommendations with leadership.Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, content, and leadership, to align PR initiatives with business priorities.Oversee crisis communication strategies when needed, ensuring quick, effective action.Requirements : 5 years + of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or a similar role, preferably in digital media or publishing.Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.Proven success in developing and executing PR strategies that drive measurable results.Strong writing and storytelling skills, with a portfolio showcasing press materials and secured media coverage.Established relationships with media contacts, particularly in industries relevant to Valnet’s brands.Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of media monitoring and PR tools (e.g., Cision, Meltwater) is a plus.Familiarity with SEO and social media strategies as they relate to PR efforts.Benefits : Health Insurance Coverage (medical, dental, and vision).Daily on-site meals & snacks.Fitness reimbursement program.Competitive compensation plans and bonus structures.Who We Are : Valnet Inc. is the leading digital publishing and media investment company, owning and operating over 25 authoritative brands across diverse verticals, including entertainment, sports, technology, automotive, gaming, lifestyle, and travel.
