ABOUT YOUR ROLE
As an Analyst, Public Relations , you will :
Perform project-related research including, best practices, peer benchmarking and issues-based research
Support decision making through data collection, analysis and formulation of options and recommendations
Capture, analyze and present information on a variety of public relations subjects using different formats including reports, briefing notes, spreadsheets and decks
Support relationship management with journalists, membership organizations and industry associations
Coordinate public speaking opportunities for the senior leadership
Perform research on the investment industry and regulatory trends in Canada that influence the operations of crown corporations like PSP
Curate and manage the distribution of the daily media monitoring product using a media monitoring software
Conducting traditional and social media monitoring and analysis to manage reputational risks and issues
Provide support to the creation of communications collateral including press releases, social media posts, newsletters and articles for a range of audiences
Work collaboratively with other teams to support drafting of major corporate publications including the Annual Report and Sustainable Investment Report, among others
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
A Bachelor’s degree in Business / Commerce, Communications, Public Relations, or a related discipline
One (1) to three (3) years of relevant work experience (including relevant internships)
Excellent project management and organisation skills
Experience with research and analysis, supported by strong analytical skills
Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to balance multiple projects demands and deliver on deadlines
A positive team player who is able to build effective stakeholder relationships
High fluency with computer programs including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Planner
Experience with Microsoft Power BI would be an asset
Experience with Meltwater, Cision or another media monitoring tool would be an asset
Experience in the financial sector an asset
Proficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn) (
