Our client is an ICI Construction Managementpany who has been around for 15+ years and focuses on a wide variety of projects across the Greater Toronto Area. They are seeking a talented individual for the position of Director of Project Management, who can oversee and lead their project management department.
Your new role
Reporting into the ownership group, the Director of Project Management will oversee 20 plus individuals, including project managers and coordinators. They will be responsible for overseeing all project management activities, ensuring projects arepleted on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. They will oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting and implementation and collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure project success. They will monitor project success and performance to identify any areas for improvements and prepare and present project status reports to Senior Management. They will help hire, develop, mentor, and train new Project Managers or Coordinators, joining the team.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful Director of Project Management candidate will have at least 10 years in the industry managing ICI construction projects, both base build andmercial interiors. They will have experience managing or leading teams and be able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. They will be an exceptionalmunicator and have the ability to work with both internal and external teams, including clients, consultants, architects, and engineers. Finally, the successful candidate should have a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
