  • Manage vendor relationships (, Sysco, Gordon Food Service, local suppliers)
  • Coordinate logistics for challenging supply chains (including fly-in sites)

Quality Control & Reporting

  • Implement daily reporting systems from camp teams (menus, photos, compliance)
  • Conduct virtual audits for food quality, presentation, and adherence
  • Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement across locations

Food Safety & Compliance

  • Oversee food safety systems (HACCP principles, temp logs, sanitation)
  • Ensure compliance with provincial and federal health regulations
  • Support kitchen inspections, approvals, and regulatory engagement

Leadership & Development

  • Support recruitment and onboarding of kitchen staff
  • Mentor and develop cooks (including Red Seal pathway support)
  • Build strong relationships with site teams and stakeholders

Safety & Logistics Support

  • Maintain first aid inventory oversight and safety documentation processes
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to support operational needs
  • Conduct occasional site visits (~10%) for audits and supporting mobilization of kitchens in newly built camps

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of experience in catering, camp, or commercial kitchen management
  • Strong experience managing multi-site or remote operations
  • Proven ability in budgeting, cost control, and procurement
  • Knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP, FoodSafe)
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Red Seal Cook certification (strong asset)
  • Experience in remote camp environments
