This is an opportunity to apply your procurement knowledge and skills in a high‑impact environment where transparency, accountability, and value‑for‑money drive every decision.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will act as a primary advisor and single point of contact for a portfolio of goods and services. You will lead end‑to‑end procurement activities, ensure compliance with legislation and trade agreements, and support ministry clients in navigating procurement requirements.

You will also contribute to policy and process enhancement, support Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) workflows, and help strengthen a procurement program built on fairness, transparency, and best value.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead end‑to‑end procurement activities for a diverse range of goods and services, ensuring compliance with legislation, trade agreements, and ministry policies.
  • Provide informed procurement advice to ministry stakeholders, helping define requirements, assess risks, and select effective procurement strategies.
  • Develop and manage competitive procurement processes, including preparing RFx documents, supporting evaluations, and ensuring award recommendations are documented.
  • Draft and finalize procurement contracts and amendments, ensuring terms are clear, enforceable, and compliant.
  • Ensure accurate procurement documentation and maintain contract workspaces within the 1GX ERP system throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support continuous improvement by contributing to procurement policies, best practices, and process enhancements.
  • Build strong relationships with internal clients, vendors, and cross‑government partners to support fair, transparent, and effective procurement.

What you will bring to the position :

  • A strong client‑service mindset, building effective working relationships and offering clear, practical guidance.
  • Sound judgement, integrity, and accountability in handling sensitive procurement matters.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, including precise writing for procurement documents and records.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate information, anticipate issues, assess risks, and develop well-reasoned recommendations.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management abilities to balance multiple priorities with accuracy.
