Description
Our Client is looking for a Procurement and Contract specialist experienced in developing strategic procurement plans, managing complex procurements, and managing contracts. The successful job seeker, reporting to the Director, Contracts, will work closely with Product Directors, program areas, and other procurement and legal subject matter experts to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges while adhering to policies and trade agreements.
Contingent Resource will be working remotely primarily. The Contingent Resource will be required for onsite meetings which include but are not limited to strategic planning, work planning discussions, and meeting with team members, senior managers, directors, executive directors and business clients as required. Frequency of meetings may be up to once per month. Must be Canadian Citizen to apply and work within Canada at all times, due to network and data security issues.
Skills Facilitating Meetings, Procurement services, Project Planning Type Contract Experience Required / Mandatory Skills
Experience in coordinating with business, IT partners, and other subject matter experts to gather and analyze all of a client's business requirements and recommend appropriate solutions. (4+ years)
Experience leading and facilitating meetings with stakeholders at all levels. (4+ years)
Experience providing procurement specialist services including evaluation of responses, and management of RFP and procurement processes within a large and complex organization. (4+ years)
Experience using analytical and problem solving skills to plan and design creative solutions. (4+ years)
Experience in developing project schedule plans and strategies, estimate resource requirements, develop and monitor work plans for completion of project tasks. (3+ years)
Nice To Have Skills
Relevant post-secondary education in areas of supply chain, procurement, business or a related field, Acceptable education includes degrees, diplomas and certificates (minimum 2 year diploma).
Completion of SCMP or other equivalent courses and associated certificates.
Experience conducting, facilitating and interpreting impact and risk assessments across multiple scenarios. (4+ years)
Experience documenting business processes, procedures, standards and guidelines. (3+ years)
Experience in procurement processes including an understanding of trade agreements and competitive bid law. (3+ years)
Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis of costs and benefits. (4+ years)
Experience in the development of project documents for a wide variety of initiatives and projects (strategic, business improvement, information technology, etc.). (4+ years)
Experience project managing and leading a team through a full cycle of sourcing including upfront planning, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Negotiated Requests for Proposals (NFRPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), Requests for Information (RFIs), negotiations, evaluation, supplier feedback, and contract execution. (4+ years)
Experience providing leadership, planning, estimating, and presentations of ideas and solutions. (4+ years)
Experience with contract negotiations. (2+ years)
Experience with preparing and executing project plans. (2+ years)
