Location: On-site - Brampton, Ontario

Schedule: 40 hours/week, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sundays to Wednesdays or Wednesdays to Saturdays

Salary: CA$50,000 per annum

About the role

We're looking for an In Process QA Associate to join our Quality Assurance team in Brampton.

This is a hands-on role where you'll play an important part in maintaining quality, GMP compliance and regulatory standards across our production facility. Working closely with manufacturing, cultivation and wider cross-functional teams, you'll help ensure our processes, documentation and products consistently meet the required standards.

You'll be a visible quality presence on the production floor, carrying out routine checks, supporting sampling and label management, reviewing documentation, and helping teams identify and resolve quality issues.

This is an opportunity to build your expertise in a fast-paced, regulated environment while contributing to a strong culture of quality, compliance and continuous improvement.

About us

Curaleaf International is shaping the future of cannabis through its commitment to research and product excellence. Powered by a strong presence at all stages of the supply chain, its unique distribution network throughout Europe, Canada and Australasia brings together pioneering research with cutting-edge cultivation, extraction, and production. Amidst a rapid growth trajectory, the emphasis on quality and expertise aims to ensure the delivery of safe and legal cannabis.

Curaleaf International's network includes a clinic, pharmacy, and laboratory in the UK; cultivation and EU-GMP processing facilities in Portugal; an EU-GMP processing, quality assurance and research site in Spain; Four 20 Pharma wholesaler and distributor in Germany; a Polish wholesaler and clinic; and the EU-GMP producer Northern Green Canada.

Curaleaf International is part of Curaleaf Holdings, Inc., a leading international producer and distributor of consumer cannabis products.

What you'll be doing

  • Carry out routine quality checks across the production facility, including gowning and hygiene checks, cleanliness inspections, line clearance, sampling and in-process checks.
  • Collect samples and coordinate with laboratories to support the timely release of Certificates of Analysis.
  • Manage production labels, including printing and ensuring all required approvals are completed promptly and accurately.
  • Monitor production activities and support colleagues in maintaining compliant working practices.
  • Help ensure the facility remains compliant with applicable regulations and maintains a consistent state of audit readiness.
  • Review batch records, logbooks, SOPs, worksheets, work orders and other quality documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness and attention to detail.
  • Support the timely investigation, follow-up and closure of deviations, nonconformances, CAPAs and change controls.
  • Gather and analyse quality data to support annual product reviews and ongoing quality monitoring.
  • Work collaboratively with manufacturing, cultivation and other teams to identify quality issues and support practical, effective solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help promote a positive culture of quality and compliance across the site.
  • Support other Quality Assurance activities and projects as required.

What you'll bring

We're looking for someone with practical quality experience who is comfortable working both on the production floor and with regulated documentation.

Essential

  • A post-secondary degree in science or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years' QA experience within a production environment, such as cannabis, pharmaceuticals, food production or agriculture.
  • Hands-on experience working within a GMP environment and/or GMP certification.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, growing and highly regulated environment.
  • A willingness to keep learning and developing your knowledge of the cannabis industry and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with MS Office, particularly Excel.

It would be an advantage if you have:

  • Experience with environmental monitoring, final product sampling, line clearance, in-process quality checks and label management.
  • Experience reviewing batch records and operational logbooks.
  • Experience managing deviations, nonconformances, CAPAs and change controls.

This role is for you if...

You enjoy being at the heart of operations rather than working in a purely desk-based role. You'll be comfortable wearing PPE, spending significant time on your feet and engaging directly with production teams.

You'll also need to be confident addressing quality and compliance concerns when you see them - including raising issues with production teams and working collaboratively to find practical solutions.

The role involves standing and walking for extended periods, with regular requirements to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders and lift up to 40 pounds.

Ready to join the team?

If you're passionate about quality, enjoy working collaboratively and want to develop your career in a growing, regulated industry, we'd love to hear from you!
