We are looking for a hands-on Warehouse Systems & Process Improvement Specialist to improve warehouse operations, workflows and system effectiveness.
This role will work closely with warehouse teams and our internal technology/software teams to identify operational inefficiencies, improve processes and translate warehouse requirements into practical system solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Review warehouse operations including receiving, putaway, inventory control, picking, staging, shipping, returns and exceptions.
- Identify process gaps, bottlenecks, manual work, duplicate activities and system workarounds.
- Recommend improved and standardized warehouse processes.
- Determine whether issues require a process change, system enhancement, training improvement or stronger operational controls.
- Translate warehouse needs into clear workflows, functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Work directly with software developers, QA and warehouse users during system development and enhancement.
- Support WMS testing, UAT and validation of real warehouse scenarios and exceptions.
- Assist with implementation, training, rollout and post-go-live stabilization.
- Analyze warehouse KPIs and data to identify opportunities to improve productivity, inventory accuracy, service levels and operational efficiency.
- Continuously gather user feedback and recommend practical system or process improvements.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of experience in warehouse operations, WMS, business systems or process improvement.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse and distribution processes.
- Experience with WMS implementation, enhancement or optimization projects.
- Ability to map processes and translate operational requirements into system functionality.
- Comfortable working with software development and technical teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with RF scanners, mobile warehouse workflows, inventory systems and integrations.
- Experience with 3PL, transportation, distribution or multi-client warehouse environments is preferred.
- SQL, reporting or data-analysis experience is an asset.
