Job description
THE ROLE
We have an excellent opportunity working with a reputable team driven company in the tool fabrication industry.
STRIVE Recruitment is currently hiring as experienced Horizontal/Vertical CNC Boring Mill Machinists to work in their specialized, air-conditioned facility with one of the leading manufacturers in the Tool Fabrication industry.

- Days 7:30-4:30 Monday - Thursday, 7:30 - 2pm Fridays

RESPONSIBILITES
- Setup and Operation: Set up, program, and operate large Horizontal/Vertical CNC boring mills.
- Precision Machining: Perform precision boring, milling, drilling, and tapping to tight tolerances.
- Programming: Edit or modify existing CNC programs and potentially generate new programs.
- Quality Inspection: Verify dimensions of machined parts using precision instruments like micrometers and calipers.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machinery and tooling.
REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant experience in CNC boring mill operation.
- Experience with Heidenhain control and PowerMill software is an asset.
- Strong blueprint reading, understanding of GD&T, and ability to select proper cutting tools.
- Good communication skills and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
