Location : DND Sites (CFB Esquimalt, CFAD -Rocky Pt , 443 Helicopter Squadron) Shifts : Various days, evenings, and overnight shifts Schedule : Various Shifts Reports to : Site Supervisor Starting Wage : $20 / hr - $21.53 / hr Job Responsibilities Provide superior customer service to clients and the general public.
Provide access control and security foot / mobile patrols as needed.
Proactively respond to and resolve emergency situations and conflicts.
Complete evacuation and emergency response procedures when necessary.
Using mobile phones and basic computer programs.
Communicate problems or concerns to the site supervisor.
Possess excellent multi-tasking, problem-solving, prioritizing and organizational abilities.
Know occupational health and safety regulations – training provided.
Perform all duties with high safety standards.
Qualifications and Experience Posses a Government of Canada secret (level II) security clearance or have the ability to obtain one. Ability to remain alert while on duty. Ability to work in a range of weather conditions throughout shift.
Must complete the online Commissionaire Security Officer Course Be willing to obtain a BC security worker's license.
Be comfortable using computers.
Fluent in the English language - written, verbal and reading skills.
Have a positive attitude with a professional demeanour.
Have excellent attention to complete incident report writing.
Have excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations.
