Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled UKG Specialist to join our team immediately. As internal resources transition to new strategic initiatives, we require a dedicated expert to maintain the continuity of our payroll operations and business intelligence reporting.

The ideal candidate isn't just a user of the system; they are a power user who understands the "under the hood" mechanics of UKG Pro Payroll and the complexities of UKG BI (Cognos-based reporting).

Advantages
s our core team moves to launch new strategic initiatives, we are looking for a UKG Power User to take the helm of our Payroll and Business Intelligence operations. This isn't just about "keeping the lights on"—it’s about owning a mission-critical engine.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Operational Continuity: Manage day-to-day payroll processing workflows within UKG, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on-time delivery.

BI Reporting & Analytics: Develop, maintain, and optimize complex reports using UKG Business Intelligence to support HR and Finance departments.

Continuous Delivery: Handle ongoing system updates, configuration changes, and "business as usual" (BAU) tasks to ensure no service degradation during the team transition.

Troubleshooting: Act as the primary point of contact for technical payroll issues, resolving data discrepancies and system errors in real-time.

Knowledge Transfer: Document processes and configurations to ensure long-term stability as the project landscape evolves.

Qualifications
Required Technical Qualifications
UKG Pro Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with UKG Pro (formerly UltiPro) Payroll modules.

Advanced UKG BI: Proven ability to build sophisticated reports, dashboards, and data models within the UKG Business Intelligence framework.

Functional Knowledge: Strong understanding of payroll tax, garnishments, and labor laws to ensure system configurations remain compliant.

Data Integrity: Experience performing audits and data validation within the UKG ecosystem.

Professional Attributes
Impeccable Timing: Ability to "hit the ground running" in a fast-paced environment with minimal ramp-up time.

Problem Solver: A proactive mindset focused on identifying bottlenecks before they impact the payroll cycle.

Communication: Clear ability to translate technical system behavior into actionable insights for stakeholders.

Summary
We are seeking a high-caliber UKG Payroll & BI Specialist to ensure operational excellence during a critical period of internal transition. As our core team pivots to new strategic projects, we need a seasoned expert to step in and take full ownership of our UKG Pro and Business Intelligence (Cognos) ecosystem. This is an urgent, high-impact role focused on maintaining continuous delivery and system stability.

In this position, you will move beyond basic administration to become the primary architect of our payroll continuity. Your day-to-day will involve managing complex payroll cycles, troubleshooting configuration hurdles, and ensuring that no service gaps occur during the team’s transition. Beyond operations, you will leverage UKG BI to design, develop, and deliver sophisticated reports and dashboards that translate raw labor data into actionable insights for HR and Finance leadership.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in "hit the ground running" scenarios. You should possess deep technical fluency in UKG Pro and the analytical rigor to manage complex data sets via Cognos. This role offers a unique platform to demonstrate your expertise in a high-visibility environment, providing the autonomy to optimize existing workflows and the influence to act as a strategic data partner.

If you are a UKG power user who prides themselves on precision, technical agility, and the ability to maintain momentum in a fast-paced environment, this is your opportunity to lead a mission-critical function.
