Summary
St. Margarets School (SMS) is Western Canadas only girl-centered, independent day and boarding school located in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada on the unceded traditional territories of the Esquimalt Nations, Songhees Nations, and WSNE Nations. Founded in 1908, SMS is an international centre for girl-centered learning and leadership development, providing empowering education for girls from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 (boarding grades 712). St. Margarets School is an International Baccalaureate (IB) School offering the Diploma Programme, and we are a candidate school for the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP).
The Payroll and Benefits Administrator is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll and benefits administration for all unionized and non-unionized School staff. This role ensures compliance with relevant legislation, collective agreements, and internal policies. As SMS transitions to the Avanti payroll system , the Administrator will play a key role in ensuring a smooth migration and establishing best practices within the new platform.
Duties include the calculation and verification of wages, enrollments, changes and premium administration for benefit plans, pension plan, and maintaining complete and accurate employee files.
The Payroll and Benefits Administrator will work courteously to provide excellent customer services to internal employees by responding in a timely manner to any employee queries.

Required Education & Experience
Minimum 5 years experience processing full-cycle Canadian payroll.
