Job description6 months contract with potential to extend. Competitive pay of $32-35 per hour. Optional benefits plan for Health, Dental, and Life Insurance. Free parking available on site Gather information on hours worked for each employee, calculate the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses, etc., and prepare and execute payroll. Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors in a timely and professional manner. Process Records of Employment (ROEs) promptly and maintain accurate payroll records. Process taxes and payment of employee benefits, and keep track of pay rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information, etc. Manage and process short-term disability cases in accordance with company policies. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or Payroll Administrator. Working towards or holding a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification with The National Institute of Payroll is considered an asset. Knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and Canadian regulations. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and familiarity with payroll software (ADP / Ceridian). Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality. Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail. Excellent communication skills.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, addressing payroll-related inquiries, and maintaining compliance with relevant legislation.
