My name is Alix. My husband and I are looking to find a new regular summer (or longer) babysitter for our four daughters, here in Halifax.
The girls are ages 10, 8, 8, and 3.5. They can be loud, but are generally well behaved and get along really well together.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable with both preschoolers and children of primary school age and be able to provide assistance in meal preparation and putting children to bed. You will need to have your own transportation and be mainly available for a regular weekend date night (typically from 6-9 / 11pm) every two weeks. That said, there may be more occasions where we could use help (if one parent is travelling for work and the other needs help in the evenings mid-week for example), and we would love to be able to stay with the same person for those evenings as well.
We are offering $20 / hour, but are open to negotiation with greater qualifications or for establishing different rates based on the number of children present during the evening.
