As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. You will lead the team by delegating tasks and deploying partners to create the Starbucks Experience for customers through legendary customer service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment. You will model and act according to Starbucks guiding principles and be part of a company recognized as a great place to work.
Key Responsibilities
- Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote Starbucks' culture, values, and mission.
- Maintain composure during high volume or unusual events to ensure smooth store operations and set a positive example.
- Evaluate environment and customer cues to anticipate needs.
- Communicate effectively with the store team to foster a positive environment.
- Assist with training new partners, providing positive reinforcement and respectful coaching.
- Provide feedback on partner performance to the store manager.
- Recognize and communicate team morale and performance issues to the manager.
- Offer clear, respectful coaching to partners to ensure operational excellence.
- Deliver legendary customer service, acting with a customer-first attitude.
- Respond to customer needs and develop positive relationships with the team.
- Execute store operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing duties.
- Follow Starbucks policies on cash handling, safety, and security to ensure partner safety.
- Adhere to cash management policies and ensure proper practices.
- Follow up with baristas to ensure quality customer service.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
- Consistently provide quality beverages, food, and products according to standards.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments, collaborating with the store manager on recognition methods.
- Utilize operational tools to achieve shift excellence.
