Job description

Job Summary

The Arcade Attendant is responsible for delivering an engaging and enjoyable guest experience within the arcade facility. This role includes assisting customers with game operation, addressing questions or concerns, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment at all times. The Arcade Attendant performs basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on gaming machines to maintain optimal functionality.

Job Duties

  • Assists guests and customers of the arcade; explains operation of game machines, card systems, prizes, and general inquiries (Essential)
  • Responds to customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner; provides answers to questions, makes recommendations and escalates issues as necessary (Essential)
  • Accurately handles cash and debit/credit card transactions (Essential)
  • Ensures all equipment and supplies are handled safely and kept in good condition (Essential)
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures (Essential)
  • Troubleshoots issues and performs minor repairs on game machines; removes obstructions, repositions mechanism, and observes machine operation. Reports machines needing additional maintenance to manager (Essential)
  • Cleans and maintains the redemption counter and machines.
  • Supports special events, peak periods, and busy weekends
  • Monitors and maintains arcade games and ensures they are operating properly
  • Restocks prizes, tickets, cards, and supplies
  • Assists with training new team members
  • Completes daily inventory of prizes and tickets
  • Assists guests in redeeming winning tickets for prizes
  • Greets guests upon entering the arcade
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Ensures prize inventory is kept neat, attractively displayed, and sufficiently stocked.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • 6 months in previous customer service experience (Preferred)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong organization and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use the internet, email, and point-of-sale systems
  • Ability to work well independently as well as on a team
