Responsibilities

Medication administration

Perform patient / client assessments.

Patient and family health teaching

Monitor, assess and document changes patient / client condition.

Assist with Activities of Daily Living

Collaborate with the healthcare team to determine and implement patient care plan.

Additional opportunities as assigned by Nursing Supervisor

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Current registration with the College of Nurses and must be in good standing.

Familiar with equipment including monitors, intravenous (IV) pumps, ventilators, feeding tubes.

Tracheostomy and ventilation care experience is considered an asset.

Previous experience in community Nursing is considered an asset.

Current CPR / First Aid Certification

Vulnerable Sector Screening (within 3 months of hire)

Up-to-date immunization Records (MMR, TDAP, Varicella, Hep B, Covid 19)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to follow patient / client care plan.

Excellent documentation skills

Strong problem-solving skills

Excellent patient service skills

Reliable transportation

Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle is considered an asset.
