About Our Client
Our client is looking to source an ICFR Consultant to support ongoing ICFR and SOX compliance initiatives in a primarily execution-focused capacity. The contract will be 6-9 months. This individual will play a key role in supporting testing cycles, maintaining documentation integrity, and assisting with walkthroughs and control assessments across multiple business functions.

About the Opportunity

• Execute ICFR and SOX testing activities across a range of business processes and functional areas
• Perform walkthroughs with process owners and update narratives, flowcharts, and supporting documentation as required
• Assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls and document testing results in accordance with established methodologies
• Support remediation tracking and follow-up testing activities where control deficiencies are identified
• Assist with the coordination of testing requests, evidence gathering, and communication with internal stakeholders
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of control documentation and testing processes
• Participate in business process and financial controls testing across operational and corporate functions
• Support ad hoc internal audit, compliance, or controls-related initiatives as needed
• Potentially assist with entity-level controls testing depending on project scope and timing

• 3+ years of hands-on ICFR, SOX, or internal controls testing experience
• Prior experience operating at the Senior Auditor, Assistant Manager, or Manager level
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks and testing methodologies
• Experience performing walkthroughs, documenting processes, and executing control testing independently
• Ability to work in a highly execution-oriented environment with minimal oversight
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Financial services or adjacent industry experience
• Experience with entity-level controls testing
• Exposure to business controls testing and operational process controls
• ITGC and/or IT controls testing experience
• CPA, CIA, or other accounting/audit designation is considered an asset
