Located in Langley, BC, we specialize in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aeronautical components and sub‑assemblies. Our comprehensive services include precision machining, welding, NDT, thermal / plasma spray, cold spray, CMM inspection, surface treatment, heat treatment, and painting. We are committed to delivering high‑quality solutions tailored to meet the needs of the aerospace industry.
Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Langley, BC. The Machinist will be responsible for operating and maintaining machining equipment to produce high‑quality aeronautical components and sub‑assemblies. Daily tasks include precision machining using various tools, inspecting parts for adherence to specifications, following safety protocols, and collaborating with the team to maintain operational efficiency. The role also involves reading and interpreting technical drawings, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and performing equipment maintenance as needed.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in precision machining, including experience with CNC machines and manual machine tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Experience with CMM inspection and other quality control techniques
- Familiarity with welding, surface treatment, and heat treatment
- Familiarity with NDT, thermal / plasma spray, and cold spray techniques
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of safety regulations and procedures in a manufacturing or aerospace environment
- Relevant certifications or trade qualifications in a machining‑related field
- Consideration given to promising apprentice
- Experience in the aerospace industry or a similar high‑precision manufacturing environment is a strong asset
