Compensation
Starting / Initial] Base Salary Range : $19.23-$38.46 / hr or $40,000-$80,000 / year.
Commission : Earned on sales based on product type : 50%-150% of monthly recurring charges, 1 / 12 of non-recurring charges, 1 / 24 of burst payments.
Tenured] Base Salary Range : $19.23-$48.07 / hr or $40,000-$100,000 / year, based on tenure and performance. Specific offers depend on experience, education, skills, and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Identify new business opportunities within a Regional Sales Territory via prospecting and hunting, focusing on mid-market and non-named national accounts (up to 500-999 employees).
- Use direct calling, emailing, and other contact methods to qualify and generate leads working directly with key decision-makers.
- Complement prospecting with field activities such as building walks, lobby events, property management relationships, and face-to-face meetings.
- Leverage consultative selling and relationship-building techniques to identify current and future connectivity needs.
- Position Cogent’s services to help customers and prospects grow their business.
- Achieve monthly revenue goals by selling into large commercial and retail buildings, office parks, and campuses.
Qualifications
This is an in-office position five days a week to support success through mentorship, training, and coaching.
