Position Summary

The objective of the role is to drive new sales and increase revenue in a growing business, develop in-depth understanding of the market and what the clients’ needs, and maintain a strong customer relationship to achieve sales objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise existing project execution to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Secure new contacts and projects. Build industry relationships to grow Miller’s Concrete market share and brand value
  • Review project specifications and collaborate with technical staff
  • Assist operations with site supervision and proactively plan customer supply
  • Track KPI’s and provide reports
  • Coordinate with plant operators, maintenance, technical and concrete placement to ensure successful project delivery
  • Willing to work flexible hours determined by demanding construction schedules, including nights and/or weekends and out-of-town projects
  • Coordinate orders, employees, and suppliers for efficient concrete delivery. Working with dispatchers daily to make sure orders are properly distributed between plants, trucks are fully utilized and the whole area is working as one operation.
  • Understand Operation of the Concrete Plant: Operate the batch system, including a basic understanding of mix designs and concrete production equipment
  • Work with the Technical team on concrete quality testing, and results record-keeping and analysis.
  • Assist the Sales Team in Technical / Value Added Products conversations with Customers.
  • Review key performance indicators (KPI), payroll and inventory
  • Visit customers and jobsites to identify potential jobs and build relationships
  • Work with management to establish pricing for jobs and distribute quotes
  • Perform regular site visits to identify potential problems and to address customer concerns
  • Fill-in as batcher/dispatcher at concrete plants when necessary

Requirements

  • Sales and/or operations experience, specific concrete experience is an asset
  • OSSD High school graduate or equivalency.
  • University Degree or Technologist/Technician Diploma preferred but not required
  • Valid Driver’s License and Vehicle (Allowance for business use provided)

Compensation

$82,000 - $103,200 annually
