Job description
We are currently seeking an experienced Welder Fitter to join a Leading Manufacturer in Barrie area
Must be able to work day shift No rotating shifts. No "graveyard" fog. Just high-octane fabrication followed by your evenings free.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of welding and fitting experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, custom fabrication environment.

Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings
Use of overhead cranes & forklifts
Experience working with stainless steel & aluminum an asset
Experience with pre & post heating of work pieces
Fit and weld light gage to heavy plate materials up to 2” thick
Perform layout and fabrication of custom metal components
Use various welding processes including MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core
Work within a CWB, TSSA-certified shop environment



Qualifications
Required Experience & Skills:
Minimum 7 years of welder fitter experience (required)
Proven experiene with heavy plate fitting
Proficient in various welding techniques:
able with layout, measurements, and blueprint reading
Strong mechanical background
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with CWB and TSSA standards (preferred)
Stick: Flux-core: Mig:Tig
