We are currently seeking a candidate who is qualified for the role of Welding Technologist . Regular travel within North America, including the Golden Horseshoe, is required and is expected to account for at least 50% of the role. Travel may be required with as little as 48 hours’ notice. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 7 : 30 a.m. to 4 : 00 p.m. when based at our Dundas, Ontario manufacturing facility.

Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to) :

• Follow work orders, manuals, and procedures accurately
• Prepare and set up weld test coupons according to applicable welding procedures and standards for performance qualification and procedure qualification tests
• Calibrate welding machines and tools to ensure accurate voltage, amperage, and wire feed settings in accordance with WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications)
• Prepare and clean workpieces using grinders, cutters, or sanders
• Monitor the welding process and make adjustments for quality and safety
• Perform manual and automatic welding operations on metal components
• Inspect welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, or undercuts
• Measure dimensions and tolerances with calipers, micrometers, or gauges
• Comply with CSA, ASME, NB, or other safety and quality standards
• Weld materials such as steel, aluminum, stainless steel, or cast iron
• Document welding parameters and results for quality assurance purposes
• Developing new welding techniques and procedures
• Utilizing high Quality Automated Welding Power Supplies with GTAW, PAW, GMAW, Variable Polarity PROCESSES
• Developing weld programs in order to provide our customers with turn-key welding solutions
• Collaborated with customers to demonstrate welding and fabrication technologies, ensuring alignment with operational needs and project requirements
• Led and supported Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), validating system performance, compliance with specifications, and customer satisfaction prior to project handover
• Addressed technical inquiries, conducted live demos, and provided expert guidance during both in-house (factory) and on-site evaluations
