Project
The Woodfibre LNG Project is located approximately 7 km west-southwest of Squamish, British Columbia. It involves the construction and operation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the previous Woodfibre pulp mill site, which would have a storage capacity of 250,000 m3 and would produce approximately 2.1 million tons per year of LNG.
Woodfibre Management Ltd. is a privately held Canadian company based in Vancouver and a subsidiary of Pacific Energy Corporation Limited.
Position
The Finance / Claims Specialist is an integral part of Woodfibre LNG ’s dynamic team. You will assist in the estimation and quantification of claims under EPC contracts. The ideal candidate will have a background in financial analysis and claims management and experience providing dispute and litigation support. The role involves collaborating with various teams, analyzing data and driving organizational and financial efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities :
The successful applicant will perform the following :
Claims Quantification :
- Analyze and evaluate costs associated with EPC projects, including budgets, contracts and change orders, to determine the validity of claims and disputes.
- Develop detailed cost estimates and justifications for claims related to delays, disruptions and cost overruns.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of project schedules and financial data to determine the financial impact of change orders and other claims.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify potential claims early and establish proper documentation and quantification methodologies.
