Job description

Our client is searching for a 4th Class Power Engineer to support our client’s operations on a short-term assignment. The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of plant equipment and safety procedures, with the ability to step in and provide reliable operational support throughout the assignment.

Compensation & Hours:

• Compensation: $30 per hour
• Duration: Approximately 2 weeks
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, early daytime hours

Position Summary:

• Operate and monitor boilers, compressors, and auxiliary equipment
• Complete routine inspections, readings, and system checks
• Monitor equipment to ensure safe and compliant operation
• Identify and troubleshoot operational or equipment concerns
• Maintain accurate operating logs and required documentation
• Work alongside maintenance and production teams to support safe, efficient operations

Required Qualifications:

• Valid 4th Class Power Engineer Certification
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, processing, or industrial environment
• Strong understanding of boilers, pressure systems, and plant utilities
• Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting abilities
• Knowledge of applicable safety standards and operating procedures
• Ability to work independently and confidently within an established operation

Bonus Points For:
• Familiarity with automated systems or plant control systems
• Additional mechanical or maintenance experience
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
