Job description

Description

The Service Technician is responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, and repair services for equipment and systems. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective problem solving and communication. The position is covering Atlantic Canada, Dartmouth to Moncton area.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Service Technician Manager’s team, the Service Technician brings expertise by:

  • Analyze circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings to install, repair, calibrate, service and replace or repair electromechanical devices and systems.
  • Dismantle, inspect and replace electromechanical equipment and replace defective electrical and mechanical parts.
  • Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of cleaning and sanitizing equipment.
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain sanitizing equipment and plant facility’s equipment supplied by Sani-Marc
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance per established PM program
  • Providing value-added after-sales service and perform problem solving;
  • Performing repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and implementation of cleaning chemical systems in Food & Beverage plants;
  • Travelling to the location of our customers;
  • Helping other departments through internal work;
  • Diagnosing problems, determining corrective action and undertaking repair;
  • Managing service calls and examining the customer’s requirements.

To perform, you need to :

To perform well, you must:

  • Proficient in electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
  • Experience in maintenance and/or maintaining food service equipment preferred
  • Experience in mobile onsite service preferred
  • Know how to work in a team, demonstrate initiative and be solutions-oriented
  • Have good communication skills and be customer-oriented
  • Be incredibly organized and understand processes thoroughly
  • Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record;
  • All applicants must take a mechanical/electrical aptitude test during the initial interview;
