You will work closely with internal team members to help build and support day-to-day administrative functions as the department grows.

This position begins part-time (20 hours/week) and may lead to full-time hours and permanent employment for the right candidate. Additional hours may be offered through cross-training in Accounting and our Training/Compliance division (government forms and documentation).

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Admin Support

  • Prepare and format documents, forms, logs, and spreadsheets
  • Support shipping/receiving paperwork and general coordination as required
  • Maintain accurate files (digital and paper) and support process organization

General Clerical / Office Duties

  • Answer and direct calls/emails professionally (if required)
  • Support scheduling, tracking, and follow-ups with internal stakeholders

Cross-Training Opportunities (to support full-time transition)
  • Accounting support: basic to intermediate administrative accounting tasks, with training toward journal entries and higher-level accounting responsibilities for the right candidate
  • Training/Compliance support: assistance completing and organizing government forms and related documentation

Required Qualifications
  • Prior administrative/clerical experience is required (not suitable for someone brand new to the workforce)
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office, specifically:
  • Microsoft Word (formatting, document creation)
  • Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas, organizing spreadsheets)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Professional written and verbal communication

Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications
  • Familiarity with logistics, trucking, dispatch, brokerage, or transportation terminology (an asset, not required)
  • Exposure to accounting processes or interest in learning accounting tasks
  • Experience handling forms, compliance documentation, or regulated paperwork

What We Offer
  • A clear path to full-time and permanent employment based on performance
  • Hands-on experience helping build a new department from the ground up
  • Cross-training in Accounting and Training/Compliance to increase hours and skills
  • A supportive team environment and opportunity for growth
