Overview of the Program

The Technical Sales Trainee Program offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, technology-driven sales environment in preparation to become a full-time Technical Sales Representative. During this 16-week training program at Lincoln Electric’s World Headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio, Technical Sales Trainees will develop welding skills in all processes, build comprehensive product knowledge, and learn to excel in a dynamic sales environment. Following the training program, our Technical Sales Representatives will relocate to their respective territory in Quebec, Canada. Here, they will actively manage and grow a territory by driving corporate and regional strategic initiatives, navigating distributor relationships to grow discretionary sales, and promoting their own target programs to increase market share.

Potential Projects

  • Participate in a Documented Cost Reduction project with Lincoln Electric’s end users to understand value selling in a competitive landscape.
  • Provide technical support, demonstrations, and training where needed and where it will drive a positive sales result.
  • Drive corporate and regional strategic initiatives with focus on growing Top Line, Alloy, Automation, and High Technology Products.
  • Develop strategies to grow business with key distribution partners within the territory. Provide distributor training as needed, support and promote corporate distributor programs, and create their own targeted programs to drive sales and increase share through this channel.
  • Provide end-user training support and promote all Lincoln products with a special focus on Automation products at these customers.
  • Drive Educational Programs to all major schools and Unions to increase product share and visibility in educational facilities, and total sales.

Basic Qualifications

  • Pursuing or having achieved a bachelor’s degree in a STEM or Business field by June 2026.
  • Hold Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid work permit.
  • Bi-Lingual Preference French and English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree in any of the following disciplines: business administration, marketing, engineering, communication, or any related fields.
  • Minimum overall GPA of 2.8.
  • Willing to relocate to Cleveland for the Trainee Program and return to Quebec, CA upon completion.
  • Interest in sales, technical/field service, and customer support.
  • Willingness to collaborate across departments (engineering, product management, and sales).

Présentation du programme

Le programme de formation en ventes techniques offre une expérience pratique dans un environnement de vente dynamique et axé sur la technologie, en vue de devenir représentants des ventes techniques à temps plein. Durant ce programme de formation de 16 semaines au siège social de Lincoln Electric à Cleveland, en Ohio, les stagiaires développeront leurs compétences en soudage dans tous les procédés, acquerront une connaissance approfondie des produits et apprendront à exceller dans un environnement de vente dynamique. À la fin de la formation, nos représentants des ventes techniques seront relocalisés dans leur territoire respectif au Québec (Canada). Ils y géreront et développeront activement un territoire en mettant en œuvre les initiatives stratégiques corporatives et régionales, en entretenant des relations privilégiées avec les distributeurs pour accroître les ventes discrétionnaires et en promouvant leurs propres programmes cibles afin d'augmenter les parts de marché.

Projets potentiels

  • Participer à un projet de réduction des coûts documentés avec les utilisateurs finaux de Lincoln Electric afin de comprendre la vente basée sur la valeur dans un environnement concurrentiel.
  • Fournir du soutien technique, des démonstrations et de la formation au besoin, là où cela permettra d’obtenir un résultat de vente positif.
  • Mettre en œuvre les initiatives stratégiques corporatives et régionales en mettant l'accent sur la croissance du chiffre d'affaires, des produits hauts de gamme, des alliages, de l'automatisation et des produits de haute technologie.
  • Développer des stratégies pour accroître les activités avec les principaux distributeurs du territoire.
  • Offrir, au besoin une formation aux distributeurs, soutenir et promouvoir les programmes corporatifs destinés aux distributeurs et créer leurs propres programmes ciblés pour stimuler les ventes et augmenter la part de marché.
  • Fournir un soutien à la formation des utilisateurs finaux et promouvoir l’ensemble des produits Lincoln avec un accent particulier sur les produits d'automatisation auprès de ces clients.
  • Déployer les programmes de formation dans les principales écoles et auprès des syndicats afin d'accroître la part de marché, la visibilité des produits dans les établissements de formation, et ainsi augmenter le chiffre d'affaires.

Qualifications de base

  • Être envoie d’obtenir ou avoir obtenu un baccalauréat dans un domaine des sciences, technologies, ingénierie et mathématiques (STIM) ou en administration des affaires d’ici juin 2026.
  • Détenir la citoyenneté canadienne, la résidence permanente ou un permis de travail valide.

Qualifications souhaitées

  • Diplôme dans l'une des disciplines suivantes : administration des affaires, marketing, ingénierie, communication ou tout domaine connexe.
  • Moyenne cumulative minimale de 2,8.
  • Bilingue - français et anglais.
  • Être disposé à un déménagement à Cleveland dans le cadre du programme de formation et retourner au Québec (Canada) à la fin du programme terminé.
  • Intérêt pour les ventes, le service technique/de terrain et le soutien à la clientèle.
  • Capacité de collaborer avec les différents départements (ingénierie, gestion de produits et ventes).
