Job description

Tasks

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of cabinetmakers, assemblers, and machine operators.
  • Plan production priorities to meet project deadlines.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Efficiently allocate materials, equipment, and resources according to production requirements.
  • Train and support employees to encourage their development and autonomy.
  • Ensure equipment operates properly and coordinate maintenance requirements.
  • Monitor inventories of raw materials and production supplies.
  • Enforce health and safety standards and procedures.
  • Quickly resolve issues related to production, quality, or work organization.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders involved in project execution.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of work methods and manufacturing processes.
  • Track project progress and operational performance.
  • Maintain a positive, productive, and collaborative work environment.
  • Perform any other related duties as required.

Job requirements

  • Significant experience in cabinetmaking, commercial furniture manufacturing, or a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supervising or coordinating production teams.
  • Strong planning and priority management skills.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes and shop operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong commitment to quality, productivity, and meeting deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of occupational health and safety standards.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Resourceful, self-motivated, and proactive.
